So you want to be a writer and you’ve dreamed of being a published author for years. Or maybe that dream has been realised and you’re now on your way with a contract or have a novel already available. But what does it really mean to write commercial fiction for a living?

Hosted by Fiona McIntosh, a bestselling fiction writer of 30 novels that sell around the globe, this course picks up where the Commercial Fiction Masterclass leaves off and is designed for graduates of the Masterclass or early-career writers looking to ground themselves in the publishing industry and the world of commercial fiction.

Covering the practicalities of the business of writing, including media training, brand management, and how to build a profile, it includes access to industry experts and will set attendees up with the skills they need to survive and succeed as published novelists.

This professional weekend includes course materials, morning and afternoon tea daily, welcome drinks/nibbles opening night, group dinner on the Saturday and a Sunday brunch.
